C&I Expo provides opportunity for new products to shine

The 2015 C&I Expo, held at Sydney Showground, Olympic Park on 4-5 March 2105, with over 140 exhibitors, the show was provided retailers and buyers with the opportunity to speak directly to suppliers and see, touch and feel new product. Exhibitors spoken to with good leads and potential orders obtained.

Many products stood out with innovation, quality and attractive packaging, together with excellent exhibitor merchandising.

The following selection of ten freshly launched products demonstrates the diversity and interest at the Expo (note arranged alphabetically by exhibitor).

Amore: Amore’s well-presented, heat and serve Mini Donuts are newly launched on the Australian market and created a lot of interest with their small footprint, easy hot food solution.

Bickfords Australia: Bickfords launched Vita Chiahh drinks in 300ml bottles coming in three flavours – Apple & Raspberry, Tropical, and Grape & Blackcurrant.

Buderim Ginger: Buderim Ginger’s three new flavours in its 250ml range of ginger beer soft drinks came in sensational looking 250ml cans – Ginger Beer Reduced Sugar; Ginger Beer & Guarana; and Ginger Beer & Pear.

Ferndale Confectionery: From Ferndale Confectionery were new 40gm packs of Juno chewy mints in Spearmint, and Peppermint flavours in a top packaging presentation.

Hollier Dicksons: Hollier Dicksons launched an eye-catching Darrell Lea Liquorice Chock STIX in a raspberry and milk chocolate flavour in a 200gm bag, also available in the 50gm snack bar.
J.C.’s Quality Foods: At J.C.’s Quality Foods an innovative Seaweed Snack, available in three flavours – Original, Wasabi, and Kumchi – added new interest to the range. The recently launched 45gm Snack Packs were also popular and are available in two types; a Yoghurt/Breakfast Topper, a mix of nuts and dried fruits for cereals or snacks; and Apple & Strawberry Fruit Packs, a 100% fruit-derived product.

Lunchbox Solutions: New to the market from food to go and heat and serve meals supplier Lunchbox Solutions were two new Everyday Café Turkish breads – Chicken Tenderloin with Roast Capsicum & Aioli, and Maple Bacon with Pumpkin & Fetta.

POSM Solutions: Gaining retailer interest at POSM Solutions were new Ella thinner profile electronic price tickets, and new Do-It products: Hang Tabs’ strips for the repair of broken hang sell packs, and 25ml wide strips with adhesive tabs that allow customers to carry large product packs.

SunRice: Two new realeases from SunRice attracted a lot of visitor interest, the newly launched Sunrice Brown Rice Chips are available in a range of gourmet flavours in 156gm bags, while new Sunrice Street Snack heat and serve meals came in great looking 200gm ‘Noodle’ boxes, including Chicken Satay & Rice and Chilli Con Carne & Rice.

Vargis Pty Ltd: Just launched into the convenience market was a new attention-getting functional beverage, Slow Cow from Vargis Pty Ltd that allows consumers to stay cool, calm and focused.
