Kimberly-Clark wins Romeo’s Supplier of the Year Award

Kimberly-Clark Australia was awarded the The Romeo’s Retail Group 2015 ‘Supplier of the Year’ award, at the group’s eighth Annual Conference on Friday 5 June. The award recognises suppliers for their overall support and engagement for the previous twelve months and is judged on criteria including overall service level, relationship and engagement, consistent delivery of results, participation in Romeo’s key events, as well as integration into each other’s businesses.

Kimberly-Clark took out the hotly contested award in the Non-Food category against finalists Mars Pet Care and Phillip Morris.

The ceremony was held at Crown Melbourne and attended by over 160 attendees representing key organisations within the retail and food and beverage industries across Australia.

Steven Macdonald, National Business Manager (Independents) Kimberly-Clark Australia, said: “The Romeo family are an absolute pleasure to work with and we’re tremendously proud to be the first non-food supplier to ever win the award. Over the past three years we have witnessed double digit growth through Romeo’s stores, which is testament to the strong relationship we have built with them and we hope to continue this into the future”.

Other awards presented at the event included: Store Manager Supplier of the Year, Vittoria Coffee; Supplier of the Year (Fresh), Helco; and Supplier of the Year (Food), Coca-Cola.

The Romeo’s Retail Group is Australia’s fastest growing independent retailer with 40 stores in NSW and South Australia. The  Romeo Family have received many awards such as State Retailer of the Year 2001, 2004, 2007 and 2008, National Retailer of the Year 2001 and 2008, as well as International Retailer of the Year 2002 and 2009 which was chosen from over 72 countries and over 4,400 stores.
