SprintQuip optimises cash operations for new Supabarn stores

supabarnSupaBarn supermarkets, owned by the Koundouris Group of Canberra, has chosen SprintQuip’s RCS800 cash recycling solution for its new store in Casey, ACT.

Danielle Houston, chief financial officer of SupaBarn, expressed the team’s overall satisfaction with the solution, especially in terms of the savings in staff time.

“Since the RCS800 was deployed, cash visibility and reconciliation have improved significantly, with start and end of shift processing times drastically reduced as well” Ms Houston said.

“The results of the RCS800 solution at our Sans Souci store were so impressive, we had to have one at our new store in Casey. Making cash reconciliation this easy and traceable will help us continue to meet the Supabarn customer service promise.”

Benefits of cash recycling

The Australian retail market is diverse and SprintQuip have been at the forefront of recognising the changing ways that its clients manage cash.

Over the last few of years, the increased need of cutting costs and optimise the efficiencies within the cash cycle prompted SprintQuip to find the right solution and educate the market on the benefits of cash recycling.

By reducing the dependency from Cash In Transit (CIT) or banking and automating all cash handling processes, cash recycling has been shown to reduce Human Resource (HR) and operational costs while saving time and enabling a greater visibility of cash throughout the whole handling process.

To date, SprintQuip’s RCS Cash Recycler is the only fully integrated back office solution with a proven track record, currently deployed in more than 100 venues across Australia, with Kmart being a flagship customer.

Over the last six months, SprintQuip has launched a new range of smart safes designed to help businesses of all sizes and cash handling needs process and secure their cash while enjoying the benefits of a complete software integration.

Since 2014 SprintQuip combined its core range of hardware solutions with a growing offering in terms of software platforms for extensive monitoring, reporting and third-party software integration.
