Almond Breeze targets convenience with single serve format

Almond Breeze has launched a range of flavoured almond milks in a single serve offering into the retail market.

Set to hit the shelves in petrol stations and convenience stores from late September, the new range has been developed in Australia and will be available in three flavours: Chocolate, Coffee and Coconut.

With less than 100 calories per serve and low in saturated fat, this convenient new format has been specially created to appeal to women seeking a healthy and great tasting alternative.

Roger Ringwood, country director for Almond Breeze Australia & New Zealand, said: “As pioneers of the category we are proud to be the first almond milk brand to offer this convenient format. This new range provides a delicious and lighter alternative to the mass of traditional soft drink offerings.”

Almond milk fastest growing non-dairy milk

Almond milk is the fastest growing milk in the non-dairy category and in just a few years has overtaken soy in terms of $ sales for the first time.

“In research our consumers told us they were enjoying Almond Breeze at home and in cafes, and were also seeking a convenient option to enjoy on the go or whenever the impulse grabs them. Our new single serve format is the perfect solution for busy women when they’re out and about,” Mr Ringwood said.

The single serves are also lactose and cholesterol free and have 30 per cent less calories than skim milk and regular soy milk.

The RRP for the single serve is $2.99 with an introductory offer of $2.00 and will be distributed locally by Freedom Foods.
