South Australian icon rebrands for Fathers day

South Australia’s iconic iced coffee brand, Farmers Union Iced Coffee, is excited to share their new name. For the first time, the brand that is so very South Australian will be rebranding for a limited time from Farmers Union, to ‘Fathers Union’ Iced Coffee, to celebrate 2017 Fathers Day.

The rebranded Fathers Union Iced Coffee will launch exclusively in South Australia alongside a series of limited edition cartons to celebrate South Aussie Dads across the state that founded the much-loved beverage.

In the lead up to Fathers Day, Fathers Union Iced Coffee will launch four unique carton designs: No.1 Dad, Total Legend, Big Fella and The Boss, for fans to collect and share. Available throughout convenience, supermarkets and independents exclusively in South Australia from Monday 14 August 2017.

And while the pack may change, Farmers Union Iced Coffee will continue to be made in Salisbury, South Australia and be the same great tasting product that all Farmers Union Iced Coffee fans have come to know and love.

As the on-the-go morning coffee fix or the ultimate arm chair companion whilst watching sport, Dad is sure to love the limited edition cartons – they are named after him after all!

Lion Dairy & Drinks’ marketing and innovation director Darryn Wallace said Farmers Union Iced Coffee is synonymous with South Australia and we have a proud following of local South Aussie men so what better way to honour some of them this Fathers Day, than with the limited edition Fathers Union Iced Coffee cartons

Self-proclaimed No.1 Dad and Adelaide Nova radio host Dylan Lewis reckons it’s a winner, backing the campaign he said: “I’m sure I speak for all my fellow South Aussie Dads out there in saying that a carton of Fathers Union Iced Coffee and good company is more than enough to make dad happy this Fathers Day. Trust me – I would know – I’m a dad!”

Farmers Union Iced Coffee almost outsells Coca Cola 2:1 in South Australia which is one of three brands in the world to achieve this phenomenal claim to fame[1].

Available in 600ml in both Original and Strong variants, Fathers Union Iced Coffee limited edition cartons will be in fridges across South Australia from 14 August 2017.
