A report titled ‘Top 100 Australian Food & Drink Companies’ by Food & Drink Business, has shown three well-known beverage companies within the convenience industry, amongst the top five spots.
Using data sourced from IBISWorld, Fonterra Co-Op Group came in at number one, followed closely by Lion in third place and Coca-Cola Amatil in fourth place.
A spokesperson from Lion said: “We’re pleased to see Lion ranked as the no.1 drinks company by revenue in the Top 100 Australian Food & Drink Companies Report 2018, coming in third overall across the entire Australian food and beverage sector,” Drinkscentral.com.au reported.
“This is reflective of the hard work of close to 6700 Lion employees who, together with our suppliers, customers, retailers and consumers, have made an economic contribution of $5.4 billion to the countries we operate in.
“But we believe in more than just our economic contribution – we are a company focused on long-term sustainable growth and creating shared value for our entire supply chain.”
