On Good Friday, Friday 3 April, all 600 7-Eleven stores nationally joined together to raise funds for children’s hospitals. Stores asked customers to name the price they would like to pay for a large Slurpee, with all funds raised being donated to children’s hospitals.
The ‘Name Your Price Day’ raised a total of $153,394.71 nationally from large Slurpee sales with funds raised going to assist children’s hospitals across Australia. In Victoria, 7-Eleven customers responded enthusiastically, raising $80,238.73 which will be donated to the Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal. Queensland Slurpee sales provided $39,324.57 for The Children’s Hospital Foundation. New South Wales raised 29,349.58 for the Sydney Children’s Hospital Foundation, followed by the ACT ($2,810.45 donated to the Canberra Hospital Foundation) and WA ($1,671.38 to Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation).
