The AACS Women In Convenience initiative will launch a new and expanded programme for 2015 after its successful first year with two events to be held in Sydney and Melbourne during May.
At both events Petra Buchanan, CEO of the McGrath foundation, will be a guest speaker. Ms Buchanan is globally recognised for her expertise in the growth and development of brands that connect people through content and technology. She was awarded the 2013 B&T Women in Media Award for Mentoring and her influence has stretched around the world through her work on the international roll-out of the Discovery Channel; Asia Pacific branding for Unisys and in Australia through her achievements as CEO at the Australian Subscription Television and Radio Association. In 2013, Ms Buchanan co-founded TuShare.com – Australia’s fastest growing sharing platform which lets you give and get great stuff for free, avoiding waste and landfill in the process. Her leadership in business and commitment to encouraging others to succeed both in Australia and internationally has been the focus of her 20+ year career in the media, technology and communications industries.
The Sydney Event will take place at The Winery (285A Crown Street, Surry Hills) on Tuesday 5 May from 3pm-5pm. The following day, Wednesday 6 May, will see the Melbourne event take place at The Botanical (169 Domain Road, South Yarra), also from 3pm-5pm.
Tickets are available at $50 per person and 100% of the ticket price will be donated directly to the McGrath foundation, which raises money to place McGrath Breast Care Nurses in communities across the country, as well as increasing breast awareness in young Australians. Thanks go to 7-Eleven for providing sponsorship of this event.
