Patties Foods is “making a good company great” with a strong focus on a high performance culture and the “Patties Values” that underpin its performance.
The company reported revenue growth of $9.2 million (or 3.7 per cent) on the previous year at the 2015 annual general meeting.
The annual general meeting also provided an opportunity for the company to highlight some of the company’s achievements in the fields of diversity and safety.
Patties Foods MD and CEO, Steven Chaur, told shareholders the company is “committed to providing access to equal opportunities at work, based on merit, and fostering a corporate culture that embraces, and values, diversity”.
Shareholders heard that 46 per cent of the Patties workforce are women with the representation of women on the senior executive team being 12 per cent, within the senior leaders group women make up 27 per cent of the group.
Looking to the future, a talent pipeline review has shown that women represent 40 per cent of the company’s high potential talent pool. While there are currently no vacancies on the Patties board, the meeting heard that, as vacancies arise, the board will seek to appoint a female director.
The impact of successful safety and injury management strategies was also highlighted as was an improvement in hazard and incident reporting noted following the implementation of regular Safety Walks across the business.
