The Karellas Group has opened its Supamart store at Tramsheds Harold Park in Sydney’s inner west.
The 2440sqm supermarket offers fresh produce, a delicatessen and seafood counter, onsite butchery, bakery and a dedicated health and wellbeing section alongside value-priced supermarket staples, coupled with the IGA ‘Price Match Promise’.
The Karellas Group was founded by Andreas Karellas 40 years ago, and today his son, Vasilli Karellas, owns Supamart with his family.
According to Vasilli Karellas, Supamart is “all about the food”.
“Our family wouldn’t sell something if we wouldn’t eat it; so that’s our ethos in our store,” Mr Karellas said.
“Supamart allows us to express our independence to the local community; means storewide choices and great value tailored the local everyday needs and wants of our customers.
“You can expect freshness through product coming straight to us from our local suppliers instead of going into a warehouse and being stored and also finding local products that you can’t find at major supermarkets,” Mr Karella said.
The store is the sixth in the group’s IGA bannered portfolio of stores located at Cremorne, Pennant Hills, Rose Bay, Pyrmont and Blaxland.
