NightOwl Convenience will be expanding into Western Australia over the next twelve months.
Partnering with Viva Energy Australia, NightOwl will open five Shell-branded service stations in WA, making this its first move into the WA market.
Viva Energy Business Manager Jennifer Gray said the company was excited to be working with NightOwl.
“Viva Energy is looking forward to working with NightOwl to develop and grow a fuel and convenience offer, initially starting with five sites, but with scope to develop many more,” Ms Gray said.
“We see significant opportunities in the convenience market and we are very pleased to have NightOwl on board.
“Early this year, we opened our first service-station site under a commission-agent model in Aratula, Queensland, closely followed by a store in Truganina, Victoria, and most recently Blair Athol, South Australia.”
NightOwl Franchisor Adam Adams said he was excited to partner with Viva Energy.
“The opportunity to work with Viva Energy is a significant step for us and we are confident that we will be offering customers a unique market proposition,” he said.
“Combining convenience and fuel sales is a proven and highly successful model, so we are delighted to have signed this deal.
“We’ve had a desire to enter the WA market for some time now and this deal also means we can make this wish a reality.”
NightOwl has been in the convenience market in QLD and NSW for over 40 years.
