The people behind some of Australia’s favourite brands including WHISKAS®, PEDIGREE®, ROYAL CANIN®, EXTRA®, SKITTLES®, M&M’S®, MALTESERS®, MASTERFOODS® and DOLMIO®, are celebrating today after Mars Australia was named as one of the best workplaces in Australia (#6 of businesses with 1,000 or more employees), according to the newly released Best Places to Work Study.
Mars Wrigley Confectionery General Manager, Andrew Loader said “In addition to producing some of Australia’s best loved brands, we’re very proud to be recognised as one of the country’s best workplaces.
This fantastic result is thanks to the 2,000 people who work across our confectionery, petcare and food segments and help create a workplace culture that is purpose-driven, collaborative, flexible and fun.”
Mr Loader said, “Being involved in the Best Places to Work Study helps us listen to what our Associates say we’re doing really well, and where there are opportunities to do better. We’re always striving to create an environment that allows people to learn and grow and gives them exciting and rewarding careers”.
Best Places to Work is a widely recognised, comprehensive, annual study that recognises the 50 ‘best in class employers’ nationally. Focused on workplace culture, the study benchmarks businesses against a series of engagement indicators which include trust, pride in work and colleague camaraderie.
Great Place to Work Australia Managing Director Zrinka Lovrencic said, “This is an exciting, transformative and competitive time for companies”.
“Companies which have made the 2018 study have risen to this challenge and exemplify workplace culture excellence.”
