Kimberly-Clark Australia has announced it will close its Sydney facility in Western Sydney.
The company has plans to move production to Asia.
The companies owns many popular brands including; Huggies, Kleenex and Viva.
The facility will cease its operations at the end of July 2019 which will result in the loss of up to 220 jobs.
Kimberly-Clark Australia said in a statement: “At this time the company is focused on the wellbeing of employees and their families, and providing them with the support they need now and in the months ahead”.
InsideFMCG said the employees affected will be paid their legal entitlements and redundancy pay, as well as outplacement assistance and counseling.
