A teenager has been arrested following an attack on a tobacconist in Parramatta.
The 14-year-old allegedly threw a knife at an employee inside the shop around 7.45pm.
The teen and employee were reportedly engaged in a verbal argument before the knife was thrown at the employee which hit her in the face.
The teen ran from the store and emergency services were called for the employee who was treated at Westmead Hospital for a puncture wound.
Police established a crime scene and attended the home of the teenager where he was arrested and charged with robbery armed with an offensive weapon cause wounding.
He is to face court.
