Woolworths has upped its range of convenience meals, introducing 60 new products to shelves this week in their biggest product launch since Christmas.
Capitalising on the trend towards healthier options, the grocery retailer has placed an emphasis on vegetables in the range, including five new additions to their ‘Woolworths ‘& Veg’ range. The new products, which include an easy Bolognese style mince mixed with carrot, sautéed onion, celery and tomato and a beef and vegetable meatballs, among others, contain at least 20% vegetables.
Another addition is a line of ‘3 Serves’ vegetable soups range, each containing three serves of vegetables per pack. There are also meal solutions in Stir Fry Kits, such as a teriyaki beef or Chinese BBQ pork char siu kits.
And for busy families, they have introduced a ready to cook range, with styles such as beef meatloaf or vegetable parmigiana bake as well as tray bakes ready in 35 minutes such as lamb koftas with mixed vegetables.
Woolworths Director of Fresh Food, Paul Harker, said it would allow customers to maximise their time at home, by providing nutritious and convenient meal options.
“So whether you’re looking for inspiration for a mid-week meal that feeds the whole family, a beautiful dish to get that restaurant feeling at home, or a winter-warming centrepiece for your Sunday roast, the new range from Woolworths has made eating fresh easy – no matter the size of your household.”
