Police are seeking CCTV and dashcam footage of an armed hold-up of a service station in Sydney’s western suburbs on Tuesday morning.
In CCTV of the robbery, two men can be seen running up to the night-use attendant window of Westside Petroleum store on Guilford Rd, Guildford at about 3.10am.
The men, one brandishing what appeared to be a military style assault rifle, threatened the attendant and can be seen counting down on their fingers from five and demanding he open the store.
Once inside, they forced the attendant to empty the contents of the cash register into a garbage bag, only pausing to threaten a customer who had entered the store during the robbery.
The men can be seen stealing food and drinks before fleeing on foot with the stolen cash and cigarettes.
Investigators have appealed for any witnesses, or anyone who may have relevant CCTV or dashcam footage to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
The first offender is described as being Caucasian, aged in his 20s and about 180cm tall with a thin build. He was wearing an orange and blue reflective jacket and had his face covered.
The second is described as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, about 180cm tall with a medium build and has a black moustauche. He was wearning a high-vis jumper and also had his face covered.
