Pacific Optics and Optus Pre-Paid have announced a new retailer management partnership for petrol and convenience.
Announced earlier this week, the new joint partnership will see the general merchandise, phone accessory and telecommunications merchandiser team up with the Telco from September 1.
Under the deal, Pacific Optics will assume responsibility for the retail management of Optus’s accounts, including capturing orders and merchandising. They will also maintain national account management; state based account management; in-store merchandising, POS execution and planogram maintenance; promotional planning; capturing of replenishment orders; and daily operational management.
Optus will look after any direct relationships with customers, and will continue to issue invoices and deliver physical goods. Optus Pre-Paid Associate Director John Bailey said they would still have teams on the ground.
“In addition, Optus will retain its current account management and field management teams, who will focus on areas outside of those that Pacific Optics will manage,” Mr Bailey told C&I.
There will be minimal changes for retailers, however orders and in-store support will shift to Pacific Optics.
