Freddo Frog is now a nonagenarian.
The famous chocolate frog is this week celebrating its 90th birthday and is celebrating with the launch of a brand new Freddo.
The new 3D Freddo is a 25g hollow chocolate frog filled with candy treasures and is billed by Cadbury as the ‘biggest innovation’ for the Freddo brand in a decade.
The new Freddo is also set to spark imaginative adventures in young fans, with Cadbury unveiling a new look for the 3D frog, who will sport a space suit or snorkel and togs on its packaging, and space and ocean shaped lollies inside. Even better, the themes will change each year.
Cadbury Marketing Manager Kate Watson said the new launch was an exciting new chapter for Freddo.
“For 90 years, Freddo has given generations of Australians shared moments of wonder and joy,” Ms Watson said.
“During what’s been a challenging time for us all, Freddo 3D Adventure encourages us to be free-spirited and adventurous, urging us to embrace our curiosity and appreciate the world around us.”
The new line is also plastic free, instead wrapped in recyclable foil packaging.
Freddo 3D Adventure will be available Australia-wide in a treat size of 25g from September 23, RRP is $2.50.
