Pasta maker San Remo has developed a new Performance Pasta range.
The San Remo Performance Pasta range includes two new high protein, low carb, vegan friendly pastas.
San Remo Pasta Pro, which offers the same protein as six eggs or 125g of cooked chicken breast per serve and San Remo Fibre Fest, is the first pasta available in Australian supermarkets with prebiotic fibre.
Erik de Roos, Chief Marketing Officer, San Remo said; “Our new Performance Pasta range is perfectly timed to hit shelves, as we’ve seen a significant growth in healthier pasta alternatives.
“We’ve created the new range to meet the various dietary and lifestyle needs of our customers, while still making sure they enjoy that quality and taste San Remo is known and loved for.”
San Remo Pasta Pro contains 37g of protein per serve (which is 70 per cent RDI*) and 25 per cent less carbs than regular pasta.
San Remo Fibre Fest contains 25 per cent less carbohydrates than regular pasta and has been carefully crafted using a combination of red beans, corn, chicory fibre and pea protein to make it naturally lower in carbohydrates, vegan friendly and gluten free.
San Remo has partnered with Australian TV personality and Chiropractor, Tim Robards to promote the new range as well as named AFLW Premiership Player and AFL Commentator, Abbey Holmes, as the brand’s new Fibre Fest Ambassador.
San Remo’s Performance Pasta range will be available for an RRP of $4.20 (250 grams) in Coles supermarkets as well as independent retailers including Foodworks, Foodland and IGA.
