New self-serve machines in 7-Eleven can make over 30 different blended drink options including smoothies, frappes, lemonades, and shakes.
After trialing the machines across selected stores over the past year, the new machines will be installed across WA and Queensland by December, and NSW and Victoria by 2022.
Julie Laycock, General Manager – Customer at 7-Eleven Australia, said the machines are already proving popular.
“Customers have loved this cool new offer. I think the machines have been a bit of a social media hit as people have spotted them in store. Some of our customers’ videos of discovering the machines have even gone viral with millions of views which is fantastic.”
There will also be a range of rotating low-sugar options available in every store, which Laycock says is the first time this option has been provided in the category in Australia.
“There will be a range of delicious low sugar options for consumers to choose from. November will see Slurpee Low Sugar Wildberry Cream and Slurpee Low Sugar Sour Apple in rotation, with Slurpee Low Sugar Kiwi Strawberry and Slurpee Low Sugar Pink Lemonade available in December.”
But fans of the classic Slurpee won’t miss out, with new flavours being introduced around the country.
“In our stores nation-wide, there will be new Slurpee flavours and the chance to win thousands of dollars in prizes as part of the Slurpee Mystery Flavours campaign. There’s two mystery flavours a month on rotation until February, Mystery Red and Mystery Turquoise kicked off the competition in November.”
By buying a Mystery Flavour, customers can win a share of $10,000 worth of gift cards, 12,500 instant win Slurpees, or $7,500 of holiday vouchers.
