7-Eleven has opened 13 stores in Victoria over the past two years, with the company planning to secure more sites in 2022 and beyond.
New stores in Tarneit North, Delacombe, and Braybrook have recently opened, while the first 7-Eleven in Shepparton is set to open in the coming months.
Nick Maddox, Area Lead South at 7-Eleven Australia, said they plan to open at least another five stores in Victoria over the next 12-18 months.
“We’re investing in bringing our offer to new communities and regions and the potential for regional expansion for us is a significant opportunity for growth.
“Our offer means we deliver fresh food into every single one of our stores seven days a week. Our investments in our supply chain over the last three years have opened up new areas and new communities we can bring our offer to.”
Maddox said that CBD locations have been the hardest hit by the pandemic but believes agility and customer insight at a store-by-store level is key to navigating the changes.
“While traffic patterns are certainly evolving, we’re continuing to focus on having our offer in the right locations, in the right format, to provide convenient solutions for our customers. Recruiting good people who can deliver an extraordinary offer is also a key priority.
“Being agile and adapting at pace has meant we have been able to adjust to have the products and services our customers need, when and where they need them. This has been critical for us over the last two years.”
