Darrell Lea is showing its support of Mardi Gras and Pride celebrations by changing the name and packaging of its iconic Liquorice Allsorts to ‘Darrell Lea Loves Allsorts’ for the second year.
And to make its support even sweeter, this year the much-loved confectionery brand is also partnering with The Lip Lab to release a limited-edition range of Allsorts inspired make up. The Darrell Lea Allsorts inspired lip collection will feature some of the iconic Darrell Lea Allsorts colours.
A portion of every limited-edition Allsorts and lipstick pack sold will be donated to QLife, a free and anonymous Australia-wide LGBTIQ+ phone and webchat service for people who need support on issues including sexuality, identity, gender, bodies, feelings, and relationships.
Aimee Cutajar, Senior Marketing Manager, Darrell Lea, said it was a thrill to bring to life Darrell Lea’s commitment to supporting the LGBTIQ+ community.
“As an iconic Australian brand, we hope our customers enjoy adding a pop of Allsorts colour to their Mardi Gras and Pride celebrations this year, which also supports the wonderful work of QLife, which is a vital support service for the community.”
Zed Tintor, Deputy Chief Executive Officer, LGBTIQ+ Health Australia said expressed his gratitude to Darrell Lea, The Lip Lab, and everyone who gets behind the collab.
“The funds raised will go to great use – including providing expert training to QLife’s amazing volunteers so we can effectively meet the growing and evolving needs and concerns of the LGBTIQ+ community across Australia.”
The Allsorts inspired lip collection is available in two-packs, each with three lipsticks and can be purchased on The Lip Lab website for AU$65.00 now until sold out.
Darrell Lea Loves Allsorts limited-edition 270g packs are available from until sold out from all leading supermarkets and convenience stores, priced at RRP $4.90.
Sorry but we will not be purchasing Allsorts again. Given We buy 3 packs a week it will be a significant loss to our household but we are conflicted by the support of LGBTQI services where so many other organisations are pleading for financial support. Call us What you will but our money will be better spent on other organisations. Kind regards.
