Ampol has announced a national retail network campaign to support The Sebastian Foundation’s mission to improve mental health outcomes for young Australians.
The campaign will run from 1 March to 4 April, with 10 cents from every purchase of selected products at participating Ampol Foodary and Ampol Woolworths MetroGo stores donated to The Sebastian Foundation.
The selected products include Herbert Adams Cream Cheese and Spinach Roll, Golden Gaytime (100mL-107mL range), Smith’s Crinkle Chips (80g-90g range), Cadbury Family Blocks (170g-190g range), and Eclipse Mints (40g range). In addition, 50 cents from all Fuse Audio products purchased will be donated to The Sebastian Foundation. Customers can also donate at the register or online.
All funds raised during the campaign will be directed to The Sebastian Foundation’s Open Parachute initiative, an in-school mental health program that is mapped to the curriculum and uses peer-to-peer methods to help educate young Australians on coping mechanisms for challenges such as bullying, anxiety, depression, gender issues, and social media.
Kate Thomson, Executive General Manager of Retail Australia at Ampol, expressed her excitement about the company’s continued support for The Sebastian Foundation through its national retail network.
“Ampol is committed to driving positive change in our society and supporting programs and organisations aimed at improving community wellbeing,” Thomson said.
“With the support of our customers, last year we proudly raised over $258,000 for The Sebastian Foundation, which allowed for 9,000 young Australians through 17 schools to participate in the Open Parachute Program.”
Co-founder of The Sebastian Foundation, Guy Sebastian, expressed his gratitude towards Ampol, its staff, and customers for their continued support.
“My wife Jules and I formed the Sebastian Foundation 10 years ago to help young Australians in the youth mental health space,” said Sebastian.
“I just wanted to say a huge thank you from The Sebastian Foundation to Ampol and everyone who donates. We couldn’t help young Australians overcome mental health challenges without your help.”
