APCO IGA X-press has opened a new store in Ballarat’s growing residential hub of Alfredton, offering customers a shopping experience that combines groceries, a café, and petrol.
The store features an IGA X-press with competitive pricing for everyday supermarket grocery items, an expanded fresh food dynamic including deli and gourmet foods, and a Barista Coffee bar.
With the population forecast for Alfredton set to grow to 15,716 by 2036, the new APCO store is one of the largest footprints of APCO’s 27 stores and growing. The store’s design is customer-centric and easy to navigate, with the café and grocery sections divided into two distinct areas.
Robert Anderson, Director at APCO, said they have tailored their range of grocery lines to give more locals what they like, including many of their favourite, less expensive brands.
“We like to make things as easy and convenient as possible for our customers. Customers can pay for their fuel and their top-up groceries at the same time before grabbing a coffee and a bite to eat from our modern Café 24-7. It’s all about saving time and making life easier – fuel, groceries, freshly made café food, and Barista style coffee, all in one great location, with ample front-shop parking.”
Customers can choose from a range of freshly made hot and cold food options, including locally made fresh daily products, ready-to-go breakfast items, quality fresh-made salads, sandwiches, rolls, jaffles, sausage rolls, pies, and paninis for lunch.
The store also offers ‘better for you’ options such as yoghurts, nuts, salads, dips, and boiled egg packs, and a large deli section for all customers’ artisan needs.
APCO IGA X-press is a joint venture between two independent brands, APCO and IGA, with APCO’s Café 24-7 foodservice offer adding to the store’s unique offering. The partnership has already been successful in seven other locations, including Geelong, Albury, Bairnsdale, Wodonga, Wangaratta, and Wagga Wagga.
The new store is located at 47-99 Learmonth Street, Alfredton VIC 3350.
