Bulla and Coles have come together to launch the ‘Three Million Meals’ campaign to raise funds for food rescue organisation SecondBite.
For every Bulla product sold at Coles supermarkets between 27 September September and 24 October, Bulla and Coles will donate 20 cents to SecondBite, with the aim of providing the equivalent of three million meals to Australians in need.
Allan Hood, CEO of Bulla, said their aim is to raise even more money for SecondBite to help support its purpose of rescuing and redistributing good food to those in need across Australia.
“As a 113-year-old, family-run business, we are privileged to partner with SecondBite in conjunction with Coles for the Three Million Meals campaign. Our first campaign raised more than $320,000, and this year we are aiming to double the contribution now that the 20c donation per purchase is applicable across the entire Bulla portfolio, including cream, ice-cream, cottage cheese and yoghurt.”
SecondBite’s incoming CEO, Daniel Moorfield, who will start his new position as the Three Million Meals campaign begins, said his appointment could not be timelier.
“Being able to announce this campaign for the second year running with two incredible partners in Bulla and Coles is fantastic. We will be able to make real, tangible impacts to the lives of the clients that utilise our services with these campaign funds.”
Ex-Masterchef contestant and SecondBite and Coles ambassador Courtney Roulston and celebrity chef Tobie Puttock are also onboard to help promote the campaign.
“I have seen firsthand the positive impact that SecondBite has made in communities right across Australia, particularly for Aussies doing it tough. When I was asked to come on board the Three Million Meals campaign and raise awareness on behalf of Coles, of course I said yes,” said Roulston.
