PepsiCo has announced it has extended its partnership with Clean Up Australia to continue to drive positive action for the planet.
The extended collaboration is possible due to funding from PepsiCo’s philanthropic arm, the PepsiCo Foundation, and over a two-year period, it will be brought to life with a team engagement program that will encourage PepsiCo employees to unite, get out into nature, and improve their local environment.
Brent Gapes, Sustainability Manager ANZ at PepsiCo, said that as one of Australia’s largest snack manufacturers, they’re always seeking ways to invest in positive sustainable change.
“Clean Up Australia is one of Australia’s most recognised and trusted environmental charities and this is an incredible opportunity to inspire not only our PepsiCo network, but also the wider community to help make a difference.”
With a commitment of more than 13,600 volunteer hours, the program will see PepsiCo employees hold clean-up activities nationwide.
Jenny Geddes, CEO of Clean Up Australia, said they are delighted to have the continued support of and partnership with PepsiCo.
“With their generous contributions we will be able to produce new resources that will help to educate our community of Clean Up volunteers to achieve our mission of improving and conserving our environment, eliminating litter, and ending waste.”
C.D. Glin, President of the PepsiCo Foundation and Global Head of Social Impact for PepsiCo, said they’re proud to extend the partnership with Clean Up Australia in support of the PepsiCo Positive ambition to drive positive action for the planet and people.
“This partnership will help create public awareness of the urgent need for action, while also engaging our associates to volunteer their time, take action and make a meaningful impact on the communities we serve. As one of the world’s leading food and beverage companies, we recognize the responsibility we have to preserve the planet for future generations.”
