Bromic Group raises over $35,000 for The Kids’ Cancer Project

Bromic Group has raised $35,437 for The Kids’ Cancer Project through its Bromic Better Health Challenge.

The charity event saw employees come together to form teams to tackle varying distances of 30km, 60km, and 90km capped off with an inflatable obstacle course. The challenge had employees navigating the course with laughter, enthusiasm, camaraderie, and a healthy dose of competition.

Scott Smith, CEO of Bromic Group, said Bromic has grown rapidly in recent years, and they are of the view that a business exists for more than just profit and must give back to its people and the community in which it operates.

“In 2018 we were looking for how to do this. We wanted a very worthwhile cause that resonated with our beliefs and values of family, passion and problem solving. We found The Kids’ Cancer Project and were inspired by the work they do and Col Reynolds’ individual story in starting the charity and were inspired from that point.”

Past events included a Super Mario Go-Kart Derby and a Back-to-School Challenge.

“Bromic is a business that thrives on problem solving so when we are having fun, solving problems, and working as a team is what truly makes me happy. Each year’s event is always great fun and brings the teams together – beyond this, the joy is seeing the results for The Kids’ Cancer Project and the money Bromic raises each year.”

Surpassing its 2024 fundraising target of $30,000, the money will contribute significantly to The Kids’ Cancer Project, which is dedicated to supporting research and finding better treatments for childhood cancer.

“For other businesses considering supporting The Kids’ Cancer Project, I suggest jumping on board and doing it! Don’t wait – there is nothing more fulfilling than knowing you are contributing to the livelihood of children and their families (who have the unfortunate position of having to deal with cancer). Equally, it grounds you and makes you grateful for what you have (and it gives you perspective),” said Smith.
