Pringles has donated $150,000 in funds and matching grants to support men’s mental health across Australia and New Zealand.
Partnering for the second year running, a bespoke Pringles Movember Conversations journey has been created. Movember Conversations is a free interactive online tool that offers practical guidance on how to start and navigate a difficult conversation, recognising that having someone to talk to can make a crucial difference in mental wellbeing.
Ileana Andrei, Senior Brand Manager for Salty Snacks at Kellanova in ANZ, said mental ill-health is an issue faced by many men across the country and it’s one that is often left unaddressed, because people feel uncomfortable talking about it.
“With the help of Mr. P’s iconic Mo, Pringles is committed to raising awareness about men’s mental health and promoting the power of mateship to help build a strong support network. By scanning Mr P’s Mo on participating cans, Aussies can access the Movember Conversations tool, to help to talk to the men in their lives who may be going through tough times.”
Kieran Ryan, Director of Partnerships and New Business at Movember, said more than half of all mental health conditions develop before the age of 25, which places even more importance on normalising conversations.
“Since taking on mental health as a cause area in 2006, Movember has been dedicated to tackling men’s mental health issues by advocating for early detection and improving the way clinicians respond to men in distress. Through promoting stronger social connections and educating men and their supporters, Movember aims to equip more men with the tools they need to face mental health challenges when they arise.”
Pringles will also be adding an additional $20 to Movember participants who receive $50 or more from 15-17 November, up to a total of $75,000.
Consumers can access the Movember Conversations tool and level up their skills by scanning Mr. P’s Mo on participating ‘Scan My Mo To Help A Bro’ Original and Sour Cream & Onion cans.
