Tony’s Chocoloney has announced the return of its edible tree-shaped ornaments and its Countdown Calendar for Christmas.
The brand’s popular edible, tree-shaped ornaments come in Milk Chocolate Gingerbread and vegan Dark Chocolate Candy Cane flavours.
Also making a comeback is the brand’s eye-catching Countdown Calendar, shaped like a giant book and packed with 25 Tiny Tony’s in ten flavours. True to Tony’s ethos, the chocolates are made with 100 per cent traceable cocoa beans sourced through the company’s Five Sourcing Principles.
These principles focus on creating long-term partnerships with cocoa cooperatives, paying a higher price to ensure a living income for farmers, and investing in sustainable farming practices.
Matthew Webb, Chief of Markets at Tony’s Chocolonely, said the holiday collection demonstrates that premium chocolate can be both delicious and ethical.
“By maintaining 100 per cent cocoa bean traceability and fostering long-term cooperative partnerships, we’re setting new industry standards for fair trade practices.”
In a nod to the inequalities in the cocoa supply chain, Tony’s Countdown Calendar features deliberately unequal portions. This design decision aims to spark conversations about the challenges faced by cocoa farming communities.
The Christmas tree ornaments and Countdown Calendar will be available through a number of P&C outlets, as well as major retailers and specialty food stores nationwide.
