The Australasian Association of Convenience Stores (AACS) has announced its overseas study tour of China and its convenience industry.
Rapid and innovative developments in China have seen “huge strides being made technologically” in both store and customer connection.
In the announcement, AACS said there would be an “entree” into companies that are global leaders and leading retailers.
The tour will begin in Shanghai and will continue from there on the high-speed train to visit local cities.
“Flight time varies from Australia but its about 11 hours and costs of travel are generally cheaper than to the USA as an example,” AACS said.
While exact dates are yet to be confirmed, it is expected that the trip and tour will take place in September 2018.
AACS said it will be an exciting and innovative study tour in a different part of the world.
