AACS Store of the Year Awards are now open

The prestigious AACS Store of the Year Awards are back, offering Australian convenience stores the chance to claim the title of the best in the country.

The annual awards, held by the Australian Association of Convenience Stores (AACS), celebrate innovation, exceptional customer service, and the unique qualities that set stores apart.

Theo Foukkare, CEO of AACS, said the awards are a fantastic opportunity to showcase the best of the industry.

“This is your chance to highlight your innovation, outstanding customer service, and the unique aspects that set your store apart. With two categories—Company Owned or Franchised Site and Privately Owned Site— the overall winner will also represent Australia at the NACS Asia Pacific Store of the Year Competition, taking our excellence to a global stage.”

Two Award Categories:

  • Company-Owned or Franchised Site
  • Privately Owned Site

The overall winner from these categories will compete on the international stage, showcasing Australian excellence in convenience retailing.

Scoring Criteria:

  • Store Format and Innovation (10 per cent)
  • Technology, Loyalty, and Payments (10 per cent)
  • Product Range (10 per cent)
  • People Development (10 per cent)
  • Customer Service Initiatives (10 per cent)
  • Results/Performance (25 per cent)
  • General Impression/Relevance (25 per cent)

Submissions are now open and are due before 21 February 2025, with finalists announced on 3 March 2025.
