ALDI Australia has expanded further into South Australia, by opening its 25th store in the state.
The opening of a store in Victor Harbour in the recent days comes less than two years after the first ALDI store was open in South Australia.
ALDI South Australia managing director Viktor Jakupec said: “We’re delighted to reach this important milestone. Our growth in South Australia demonstrates that the local community has embraced the ALDI shopping experience, which offers high-quality products at permanently low prices.”
“We look forward to continuing our expansion in 2018, opening more stores to allow even more shoppers the opportunity to discover the difference ALDI can make to their wallets and their lifestyles,” he said.
A press release regarding the new store opening, also mentioned other ALDI stores that had been opened in 2017 alone.
“In 2017, ALDI has opened stores in Aldinga, Nuriootpa, Kensington Park, Hawthorn and Adelaide Airport, with Ingle Farm also opening on Wednesday 6 December,” it said.
“These are in addition to the 18 stores ALDI opened in 2016, including Parafield Gardens, Hallett Cove, Seaford Heights, Woodcroft, Mount Barker, St Agnes, Modbury, Noarlunga, Kilburn, Berri, Blakeview, Marion, Smithfield, West Lakes, Gilles Plains, Evanston, Golden Grove and Morphett Vale.
“ALDI’s long-term expansion will see in up to 50 stores developed across the state, providing South Australians with increased grocery options and employment opportunities, with up to 900 new permanent jobs to be created state-wide.
“ALDI Victor Harbor is located at 56-60 Adelaide Road, Hayborough, and will open at 8:30am on Wednesday, 6 December 2017.”
