Ampol has launched its third Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), outlining its next steps towards the advancement of reconciliation.
The objective of Ampol’s RAP, which is officially endorsed by Reconciliation Australia, is to strengthen relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples through increased and consistent engagement, commercial partnerships, broadened cultural understanding, and a focus on improving outcomes.
Brad Clunes, Ampol RAP Executive Sponsor, said Ampol’s vision for reconciliation is one where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have equitable participation in Australian society and where all Australians respect the long heritage and cultures of First Australians.
“Through this RAP, we are committed to playing an active role across four tangible opportunities: community connection; strengthened cultural learning; sustainable experience and education opportunities; and increased supplier engagement.”
Within the plan is a refreshed approach to representation, equity, and inclusion, which strengthens Ampol’s ability to power better opportunities with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, their communities, and their businesses.
