Ampol has launched its July national retail network donation campaign to support The Smith Family in the education of young people.
From now until 1 August, 10 cents from every purchase of select products at participating Ampol Foodary and Ampol Woolworths MetroGo stores will be donated to The Smith Family.
Kate Thomson, Executive General Manger of Retail Australia at Ampol, said Ampol is committed to driving positive change in the society and communities in which it operates.
“Our ability to provide The Smith Family additional support for youth experiencing disadvantage is crucial to keeping them engaged in their education, whether that be finishing school or progressing to further studies or meaningful employment.
“A key component of our Reconciliation Action Plan is investing in important youth education programs. The Smith Family’s Learning Club initiative is a fantastic example of Ampol supporting First Nations peoples, and alike, youth generally.”
The products include Smith’s, Red Rock Deli, Twisties, Toobs and Doritos (35-60g range), Mountain Dew, Pepsi, Schweppes and Solo (600mL range), Cadbury block (165-190g range), Ben and Jerry (427-458mL range) and Four ‘N Twenty beef traveller pies, as well as 50 cents from every Aerial beanie.
Doug Taylor, CEO of The Smith Family, said purchasing any of the participating items during the campaign will help ensure a student in need can access extra out-of-school support so they can catch up and keep up with their peers at school.
“Programs like these can be life-changing for children in need, helping to overcome educational inequality caused by poverty and enabling them create better futures for themselves.
“Together with Ampol and their customers, we can help create a better future for children, families and their communities – and build a society that’s more inclusive for all.”
