Aussies among finalists in PepsiCo’s Accelerator Program

Two Australian startups have been named among the 10 finalists in PepsiCo’s 2025 Greenhouse Accelerator Program for Asia Pacific.

Sydney-based Calyx.eco and Brisbane’s Endua were selected from 45 Australian and New Zealand applicants, the second highest number of applications in the region and the highest per capita.

Calyx.eco provides data-driven insights into the environmental impacts of supply chains for food and beverage companies. Endua is developing on-site production of green hydrogen to deliver sustainable energy solutions.

Lauren Branson, CEO of Calyx.eco, said this grant will really help scale up efforts to empower food and beverage businesses to be more sustainable.

“With the grant, we can continue to offer more companies with tangible insights into how supply chains can be improved to lower its environmental impact.”

Paul Sernia, CEO of Endua, said the’re on a mission to make hydrogen power more accessible across Australia.

“But it’s no small feat, and grants like this really help us to continue to grow and provide self-sufficient, sustainable and cost-effective energy across Australian industries.”

Each finalist will receive a grant of AUD $31,542 and access to PepsiCo’s network of experts and resources, with the opportunity to pilot their innovations in real-world market conditions. The winner will receive an additional AUD $157,000.

The Greenhouse Accelerator Program focuses on solutions that promote regenerative farming, enhance soil efficiency, and scale low-carbon packaging and logistics. Startups this year span waste management, agriculture, renewable packaging, and clean energy, with technologies including AI-powered lifecycle assessments and molten salt energy storage.

Anne Tse, Chief Executive Officer of PepsiCo Asia Pacific, said, “Now in its third edition, the Greenhouse Accelerator is becoming a powerful platform for surfacing promising ideas that respond to some of the most urgent sustainability challenges in Asia Pacific.”

The 2025 finalists hail from Australia, China, Indonesia, Singapore, and South Korea. Since its launch, the program has awarded over AUD 1.5 million in grants and supported 112 companies globally, with approximately 80 per cent securing further funding after participation.
