A new range of Australian-made premium plant-based milk called NuYu has hit the shelves of independent retailers across the country.
The NuYu range of ambient milk products is long-life and vegan friendly, and comes in five variants – Almond, Oat, Macadamia, Cashew and Pistachio.
They are made in South Australia and support 90 per cent Australian ingredients, with 100 per cent Australian oats, almond and macadamias used.
Amelia Wright, NuYu assistant brand manager, says that the range provides a dairy alternative that doesn’t compromise on quality, function or flavour.
“The NuYu range is multi-purposed and promotes different usages to suit personal health or taste preferences,” she says.
“The Almond, Oat, Cashew and Macadamia are considered ‘Barista Blends’ which means they are formulated to froth and mix well with coffee, whereas Pistachio works best in hot chocolates and chai’s.”
NuYu is also working towards making their packaging sustainable and uses a material that is a minimum of 30 per cent recycled plastic.
“We are passionate about closing the gap between chilled and ambient plant-milks and we are proud to offer versatility, functionality, convenience and sustainability,” says Wright.
NuYu plant-based milks are available nationally from independent retailers, IGAs, Foodworks, Foodlands and Drakes.
