QuiXmart, Australia’s first autonomous smart start has launched.
The technology for the store was showcased for the first time at the Global Mobile Internet Conference (GMIC) recently, allowing for the stores to launch.
The quiXmart is a pod that will revolutionise shopping ensuring convenience and ease for Australian consumers.
The retail pods enable shoppers to shop both cashless and cardless, and instead use their palm to make their purchases.
A statement announcing the launch said: “Shoppers will scan their hands to enter a quiXmart retail pod, and once inside, camera tracking and biometrics will track whatever they pick up and place in their bag. At check-out, an array of cameras will scan the selected items and, with a simple push of a button, the AI system will seamlessly calculate the total item value, charge their account, and open the pod door – all within seconds.”
quiXmart Australia Australian Director Kenny Chen said it was exciting to have launched the technology at GMIC.
“We’re thrilled to be launching into Australia and providing shoppers with such a new and innovative way of shopping. Our technology will shake up the retail industry and shape the future of shopping,” he said.
QuiXmart is currently in discussions with potential retail partners, for more information visit the quiXmart website.
