Dedicated to creating Australia’s favourite Peanut Butter, Bega is excited to officially launch its very first and innovative Bega Peanut Butter product, Bega Dark Roast Peanut Butter – a new and robust variant that is expected to satisfy thanks to its highly roasted flavour.
Since acquiring the original Peanut Butter recipe in 2017, the new product, Dark Roast Peanut Butter, demonstrates Bega’s ongoing commitment to bringing Australians the best tasting peanut butter, and is a glimpse into the exciting developments to come in the near future.
Bega has developed the delicious new Bega Dark Roast Peanut Butter variant to not only accommodate the changing palette of the Australian consumer, but to ensure that the new product offers a sensory point of difference.
Whilst the recipe is exactly the same as the original Bega Peanut Butter Australian’s know and love, it’s a brand new taste experience with the peanuts being roasted at a higher temperature to give more of a flavoursome experience.
According to recent research, 61% of global consumers often/sometimes experiment with new flavours when shopping for food and drinks*, which is why Bega Dark Roast Peanut Butter will play a distinct role in the brand’s portfolio. Available in both Crunchy and Smooth, the delicious new product will offer “spreads consumers” a wider variety of flavours and tastes.
Officially launching in Australian supermarkets in September 2018, Bega Dark Roast Peanut Butter uses Hi Oleic Peanuts as they have a higher monounsaturated fat content than ‘regular’ peanuts. Put simply, Hi Oleic Peanuts are rich in ‘good’ fats and are a source of vitamin B3 and magnesium. The ‘good’ fats allow the peanuts to stay fresher for longer and gives them extra crunch.
With no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives, as well as a tasty gluten-free option, Bega Dark Roast Peanut Butter offers over half of the daily nut target (30g) in each serving.
‘We are thrilled to launch Bega Dark Roast Peanut Butter and we’re confident that it will satisfy consumers’ palates. Although we’re offering a delicious and robust new variant, Australians can still enjoy the original, never oily, never dry Bega Peanut Butter they have been for decades”, says Barry Irvin.
Bega Dark Roast Peanut Butter will be available at all major supermarkets and independents from September 2018, so head in-store to experience an exciting and innovative sensory journey!
RRP: $5.70
Hi……I have been meaning to send this email since your Dark Roast hit the shelves. I just love love, love the Dark Roast, if it should ever disappear I think I would have a problem returning to the normal peanut butter.
There is not a day goes by that I don’t have peanut butter. I love it on toast in the morning with banana…yum.
There is one question I have, can you put it in the fridge, I find in the hot (Qld) weather it gets very soft.
Warmest regards
Colleen. I live on the coast in northern NSW and I find that I also have to put the normal Bega peanut butter in the fridge … for the same reason.
OMG I tried this fabulous Peanut butter last Nov on my trip to Sydney, I love it I live in Canada is there any where closer that I can buy it, I am almost out of my stash I brought home
Thanks
I will not go back to ordinary peanut butter. I love the dark one but cannot get it in Coonabarabran NSW, why is this so?
I am having trouble sourcing Bega dark roast peanut butter. Is it still being made or not available on Central Coast NSW?
