Food Standards Australia has issued a recall of the 40g Bounce Protein Ball Cashew Caramel amid fears it could contain plastic.
The popular protein balls have been available for sale at Coles, Woolworths, independent food retailers including IGA, 7-Eleven, Caltex, BP, EG Fuels and United Fuel nationally.
It is also sold at On the Run in South Australia, as well as in pharmacies and from online retail outlets nationally.
The batch that has been recalled is ‘BATCH M2310’ with a best before date of 21/07/21.
Food Standards Australia said: “The recall is due to the potential presence of foreign matter (plastic).
“Food products containing plastic may cause injury if consumed.”
Consumers are urged to not eat this product and to return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.
