Caltex service stations are now offering businesses the opportunity to earn frequent flyer points every time they refuel company vehicles.
Yesterday the fuel retailer announced a new partnership with the Qantas Business Rewards program that would allow small to medium businesses (SMEs) to earn Qantas points on their Caltex fuel cards.
The rate is one frequent flyer point for every litre of premium fuel purchased, or two litres of regular of diesel.
The deal also applies to every dollar spent on eligible in-store products or vehicle servicing.
Caltex Australia executive general manager of Commercial, Bruce Rosengarten, said that for more than 100 years, Caltex has been supporting Australian businesses.
“This is just one more way we’re providing our customers with more benefits,” he said.
“SMEs are the engine room of the local economy and we’re proud to partner with another iconic Australian company to give businesses added value when they refuel.
“Fuel is a major expense for SMEs. We want to help businesses manage their refuelling needs while offering them something more, like earning Qantas Points, wherever we can.”
Qantas Loyalty CEO Lesley Grant said the reward scheme was a great way for SMEs to “pump up” their Qantas Points balance.
“Some of our business members spend a lot of time on the road so they will be delighted to know they can now be rewarded on their everyday fuel expenses.”
The Caltex Starcard is accepted at around 2,000 service stations nationally.
