CCEP to invest additional $105.5 million in its Moorabbin plant

Coca-Cola Europacific Partners (CCEP) is set to invest an additional $105.5 million for a new Warmfill Line at its Moorabbin plant in Victoria.

The Nitro-Warmfill Line, which is expected to be operational in the first quarter of 2026, marks a significant milestone as it enables the production of the complete Powerade and Fuze Tea beverage range.

It will have the capacity to deliver up to 17.8 million-unit cases to the network annually, delivering up to 640 bottles per minute and, when operating at full capacity, it will increase the site’s overall capacity by an additional 23 per cent.

Orlando Rodriguez, Managing Director at CCEP Australia, said this investment is an exciting milestone for CCEP as the business prepares for accelerated growth, particularly in the sporting beverage category.

“Our success as a company is underpinned by our relationship with our customers, and our investment in the new Warmfill Line highlights our commitment to delivering value to them.

“Establishing and expanding local operations in Moorabbin brings us closer to the end-consumer, enabling us to produce, distribute and sell beverages to more customers with greater efficiency and more sustainably.”

Rodriguez explained the importance of investing in the growing energy and sports drink market.

“Investing in the sports category is central to our overarching growth ambitions and reflects our strong belief in this sector, as highlighted by our support of community and sporting organisations, including the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023™, and recently being named the Official Sports Hydration Partner of the Hungry Jacks National Basketball League and Cygnett Women’s National Basketball League.”

In addition to the Nitro-Warmfill line, there will be comprehensive upgrades to water treatment, electrical systems, compressed air, nitrogen dosing, heating and cooling systems, and a syrup room for Warmfill product manufacturing.
