With just one week to go until the 2023 C&I Expo and Symposium at the ICC Sydney, we look at what is on offer over the two days.
As well as an incredible line-up of knowledgeable speakers at the C&I Industry Symposium, the two days at the expo are the perfect chance for retailers to have face-to-face interaction with existing and new suppliers.
Safa de Valois, Group Publisher of C&I Media, explained that these interactions can create new business and generate opportunities for retailers to feature new products as well as take advantage of on-the-spot deals.
“For retailers, this event provides a wonderful chance for stores to forge new relationships and expand their product offering, as well as catch up with familiar suppliers and find out if they can be more effective.”
Then of course, there is the $50,000 stock giveaway, where one lucky retailer will walk away with a huge supply of stock to fill out their store, featuring products from Coca-Cola EuroPacific Partners, Sanitarium, Carman’s Kitchen, Meris, Funday Sweets, Ty Beanies, Vend Data Media Solutions, Off Piste, Halo Food Co, and many more.
The giveaway is open to independent convenience, petrol, and grocery retailers, who simply need to attend the expo and be there for the draw for the chance to win big.
Before the expo each day, there is the C&I Industry Symposium for retailers and suppliers to attend. The line-up of expert speakers will deliver presentations on issues affecting the P&C industry, filled with insights and data, future trends, and innovations.
Attendees will learn how these relate directly to their business and how they can implement changes to stay at the forefront of convenience retailing.
Lou Jardin, Managing Director of SPAR Australia who is speaking on day one of the symposium, said he is looking forward to learning about innovations and solutions related to enhancing convenience and promoting independence in various aspects of business operations, as well as networking with like-minded individuals and organisations.
“In 2024, the petrol and convenience industry has a promising future by focusing on sustainability through offerings like electric vehicle charging and healthier product selections. Embracing digital tools, such as mobile apps for payments and delivery services, will enhance customer experiences.
“Exploring unique store formats and partnerships with other businesses can cater to diverse customer demands. These strategies align with the evolving consumer preferences, positioning the industry for growth and success in the coming year,” explained Jardin.
