Global food and beverage company Danone has donated $60,000 to Foodbank Australia, which will help provide 120,000 meals to hungry Australians.
The donation matches the amount raised by Danone’s recent ‘Eat Good. Do Good’ campaign in which 10c from every 150g pot of Two Good yoghurt purchased was donated to Foodbank Australia.
Brianna Casey, Foodbank Australia CEO, said the organization is providing food relief to a record one million people a month and that they couldn’t do it without the ongoing support from Two Good and Danone.
“We have loved seeing the Two Good yoghurt pots turn Foodbank purple for the past six weeks, the campaign has not only raised vital funds for Foodbank, but it has helped raise awareness that hunger is a real problem in a country like Australia.”
According to Foodbank Hunger Report 2021, one in six Australian adults did not eat enough in the last year.
“Thank you to the entire team behind this successful campaign and to Danone for matching funds raised which will enable Foodbank to provide more than 120,000 meals to people doing it tough right now all over Australia,” said Casey.
