Darrell Lea, one of Australia’s best-known chocolate companies has released a new range of chocolate blocks.
Some of the brands most-loved products including Rocklea Road, Liquorice and Peanut Brittle have been smothered in chocolate and wrapped up into blocks.
There are also the following flavour combinations; Fruitier & Nuttier, Peppermint Partytime and Caramel Craving.
The new flavours are the company’s first reinvention of their chocolate blocks since it began 92 years ago.
Bite into a new Darrell Lea block and you’re guaranteed more crunch, more chunks, more goo, more chew and more yum … all wrapped up in smooth, melt-in-yourmouth chocolate.
In fact, the blocks are so jam packed with top quality ingredients, such as whole almonds, soft cranberries, toasted coconut pieces, plump marshmallows and chewy caramel fudge … they’re practically falling out of the pack!
Proudly made in Australia and using 100% sustainably sourced cocoa, purchase of each Darrell Lea block helps contribute towards improving the livelihoods of cocoa farming communities; lifting them out of poverty, providing education, eradicating child labour and empowering women.
Tim York, CEO of Darrell Lea said, “We make some of Australia’s favourite confectionery products and we knew these would translate perfectly into a block format. We also thought we could improve on a few great flavour combinations … so we did.
“It’s time the confectionery aisle got a shake up and we’re excited to be doing it. There has been a lack of well made, quality products that are exciting to eat.
“We are predominantly a liquorice business, which has dabbled in chocolate, but we plan to change that. Darrell Lea is now well and truly in core chocolate territory and it’s a thrilling place to be.
“Australia has had a love affair with Darrell Lea for over 90 years and we are confident that this will continue with the product innovation we are exploring. We’re proud of our new blocks range and we know Aussies will love it.”
The new Darrell Lea blocks range is available nationally only at Woolworths priced at $5.00 each (RRP).
