EzyMart hosted over 85 suppliers and over 300 of its retailers at its annual Trade Show in Sydney this week.
The Trade Show was held at Rosehill Gardens in Western Sydney and according to EzyMart CEO and founder, Maher Magableh, this was the ninth annual buying event hosted by the group.
“We now have 369 EzyMart stores and today we have had 300 store managers and territory managers attending the trade show today including several multi-site operators. We have 85 suppliers showcasing their key categories as we come into summer and the new year as well as some international brands on display exclusive for EzyMart,” Magableh told C&I.
“In terms of trends we are growing our focus on healthy snacks and healthy food as well as coffee stations. Since last year, all new stores have a push button bean-to-cup coffee machine accompanied by products such as muffins and banana bread as well as other fresh food options including sandwiches, wraps, fruit salads and ready meals.”
New exhibitors at the Trade Show included SPC displaying a range of packaged fruit products as well as its signature baked beans and spaghetti. Also attending for the first time was Freedom Foods – showing its range of Crankt protein bars, Cheeky Monkey cereals well as Australia’s Own milk products and drinking yogurts.
According to Magableh, Mars Wrigley was the most popular stand at the Trade Show with over $1 million in orders received within the first five hours of the event – or $3,333 per minute.
