South Australian iced coffee brand, Farmers Union Iced Coffee (FUIC), has introduced its most protein-rich product yet: Protein Iced Coffee.
The new drink is designed to meet the growing demand for high-protein options among Australians, particularly those looking for healthier, more functional beverages to suit active lifestyles.
Recent data shows that protein is a booming category in Australia, valued at $8 billion and expanding quickly into mainstream markets. Around one-third of beverage consumers are actively seeking high-protein options to help them feel fuller for longer, and FUIC’s Protein Iced Coffee is positioned to meet that need.
Zabean Bhanji, Brand Manager at FUIC, highlighted the inspiration behind the new product.
“Our latest protein launch has been driven by consumers’ demand for high-protein products. As functional health and lifestyle trends continue to gain momentum, we see consumers looking to get more benefits out of their iced coffee pick-me-up, and FUIC Protein does just that by supporting a protein-charged diet.”
The new drink offers 36 grams of protein per serving and is made with fresh milk and real coffee, appealing to both loyal FUIC fans and a more health-conscious audience.
“Made with fresh milk and real coffee, our FUIC Protein is a welcomed addition to our iced coffee family, and we look forward to seeing South Australians powering up with a delicious FUIC Protein carton in their hands,” said Bhanji.
FUIC Protein will be available in 600ml cartons in South Australia and the Northern Territory starting 4 November 2024.
