Krispy Kreme has done it again, releasing three new drool worthy doughnuts in one of its tastiest collaborations yet.
Teaming up with Oreo, the doughnut maker has launched the range, which is aimed at capturing the best of Oreo’s crunchy biscuit and crème sandwich, in dough form.
The Oreo Original features an original doughnut with a ‘Kookies ‘N Kreme’ filling – and a surprise addition of crushed cookie pieces mixed through, topped with cookie pieces. While the chocolate takes it up a notch, with a choc crème filling, choc icing and cookie pieces. And for the strawberry lovers there is Oreo Strawberry, featuring a strawberry crème filled doughnut topped with strawberry icing and chocolate Oreo cookie pieces.
Krispy Kreme’s Food Technologist, Tasha Kaur said the Oreo Original was proving to be one of the most popular flavours to date.
“We wanted to make everyone’s favourite flavour combo bigger and better, and with OREO we were able to play around with the additions of chocolate and strawberry. The doughnuts are light and fluffy, filled with a light as air cream, and then covered in the OREO cookie pieces that gives it extra indulgence, setting it apart from any other doughnuts in the Krispy Kreme range. We all know and love OREO cookies, which is why we are so excited to give Aussies the chance to try them out in a new and unique way,” Ms Kaur said.
The limited edition flavours are available nationally now at 7-Eleven’s network of 700 stores, as well as via 7-Eleven delivery in select Sydney and Melbourne suburbs, as well as Krispy Kreme outlets. RRP is $3.75 per doughnut or $28.95 per dozen.
