Krispy Kreme are set to open another of its Hot Light factory stores in South Australia this year.
The doughnut company has announced plans to bring another of the winning store formats to OTR Mount Gambier East.
The Hot Light factories allow customers to pick up still-hot freshly made Original Glazed doughnuts straight from the production line.
OTR Mount Gambier East is expected to open to customers by December this year, offering the local community 24/7 trading, barista made C-Coffee, grocery staples, BP fuel and a Mogas depot and Truckers Lounger.
Head of Community Partnerships &andPR for OTR, Joann Skene, said the 15 local jobs the site will generate were essential to growing regional communities.
“This exciting development in Mount Gambier will engage local contractors during the construction phase, and create an additional 15 permanent roles to be filled by people of all ages from the Mount Gambier community,” Ms Skene said.
“We will also offer employees the opportunity for career development and training.”
The Hot Light factory is also on the hunt for one lucky person looking to spend their days surrounded by freshly made doughnuts and are taking applications for a store/production manager to lead their South East operations.
“Krispy Kreme is an iconic international brand steeped in history, and we’re excited to set up a production and processing operation to support the local retail business in Mount Gambier,” Krispy Kreme SA General Manager Mark Higginbottom said.
“We are hoping to secure the best applicant for this exciting role, they don’t come around very often, and this will be the first role of its kind in Mount Gambier.”
