The Australasian Association of Convenience Stores (AACS) will host its first Women in Convenience (WIC) event for 2021 next week, and registrations are still open.
The virtual event will be held on Tuesday 9 March from 10.30am until 11.30am.
Stress management expert, personal performance coach, writer and speaker, Laura Piccardi will be the guest speaker, and her talk will focus on taking back the “power to choose to challenge the way you’re experiencing life”.
AACS CEO, Theo Foukkare, said the WIC events hosted by AACS are great networking opportunities for women in the convenience channel and a great forum to discuss the challenges they are facing with likeminded industry professionals.
“AACS is pleased to bring you our first WIC event for 2021. The convenience channel is thriving with talent. Our WIC events are designed to help discuss the challenges that women have historically faced in the workforce and help them understand how to better manage these.
“Hopefully later this year we will be able to hold an in-person WIC event to foster networking and kickstart new relationships. Being heard, understood and recognised for your talent is imperative for all of us.
“International Women’s Day 2021’s theme is choose to challenge, and Laura Piccardi will deliver a talk that hits the mark,” says Foukkare.
