A limited number of tickets are still available for the Shop! ANZ Retail Marketing in 2021 Online Conference to be held next week.
The event will be held over two consecutive mornings on 7 and 8 September from 9:30am to 12pm. It has been created as a catalyst for greater transparency and cooperation and to ensure that retail marketing roles and business functions remain viable for the foreseeable future.
Retail and shopper marketing has been transforming steadily over the last 10 years as shoppers have grown more discerning and have taken greater controls of their own decision making in-store. The maturation of the shopper marketing disciple and the impact of COVID-19 and restrictions has expediated this rate of change and is forcing retailers to adapt.
Carla Bridge, General Manager of Shop! ANZ, said the Association has worked hard to pull together a strong line up of expert speakers to unite the sector, sharing ideas and providing some support and guidance.
“We’re now at a point where brands, agencies, POP producers and printers alike are looking at how to can best adapt their marketing strategies to resonate with shoppers and how, what and where they are purchasing,” she said.
Presenters include big brand and retailer names such as Coles Supermarkets, Simplot, and Wunderman Thompson. It will also include an international perspective on in-store experience by OpenEye Global (USA), and Brazilian retailer Wine.br, which began life as an online wine subscription service, before creating an offline store from an online store, building in an impressive omnichannel customer experience.
Coles will delve into its recent transformation of the health and breakfasts aisles and the strategy behind this, while Simplot will take attendees through the Birdseye Health Switchers campaign, which grew the frozen vegetable category to a whole new market of under 35s.
“All content to be shared over these two mornings is fresh and tailored specifically for where the retail marketing sector is at right now and with anticipation of where we are headed in the next 12 months,” said Bridge.
The event will tackle the topics on retail marketers’ minds in current and post-COVID store environments, from adapting swiftly to changing shopper behaviour, personalisation, the role of shopper marketing and insights and the importance of strong strategic and tactical vision.
